The Progress Targets and Demonstrable Improvement Index presented below are based upon indicators that are aligned to the state’s institutional accountability system under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). These targets take into account school performance in the 2017-18 baseline year and the gap in the school’s performance relative to the 2017-18 state median outcome. Due to differences in the methodology, the targets and indices based on the indicators below cannot be directly compared to the targets and indices used to make the 2018-19 Demonstrable Improvement determinations for Cohort 1 schools which were aligned to the state’s accountability system under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) Flexibility Waiver.

The indicators below will first be used to make Demonstrable Improvement determinations for Cohort 1 schools beginning with the 2019-20 school year results. The Demonstrable Improvement determinations for Cohort 2 schools will first be made following the 2020-21 school year.
